You only need to add an EPG URL when you use an M3U playlist — apps that log in with Xtream Codes load the guide automatically. The EPG URL is usually sent with your subscription and, for Xtream-based services, ends in xmltv.php with your username and password. Paste it into your player's EPG settings, refresh, and set the time offset if listings are out.
Where to find the EPG URL
- In the welcome message with your M3U link.
- For Xtream-based services it typically looks like:
http://server-address:port/xmltv.php?username=NAME&password=PASS - If you can't find it, ask your provider.
TiviMate
- Open Settings → EPG → Add EPG source.
- Paste the URL and save.
- Choose Update EPG to load it now.
With an Xtream Codes playlist, TiviMate adds the provider's EPG automatically.
IPTV Smarters
With an Xtream Codes login the guide loads automatically. With an M3U login, the app uses guide information included in the playlist where available; check for an EPG or Install EPG option in the Live TV section.
Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client)
- Add-ons → My add-ons → PVR clients → PVR IPTV Simple Client → Configure.
- Open EPG, set Location to Remote path, paste the XMLTV URL.

Smart TV apps (SET IPTV, IBO, Smart One)
Most add the EPG on the developer's website alongside your playlist, using your TV's MAC address — see SET IPTV and IBO Pro.
After adding the EPG
- Refresh the guide.
- Set the time offset if programmes are an hour or more out.
- Hide unused groups so the guide loads faster.
If the guide stays empty
