An IPTV subscription is priced by how long you pay for and how many screens can watch at the same time. Short plans cost the most per month; long plans cost the least but are paid up front. On top of that, check for extra-screen charges and, on some Smart TVs, a one-off fee for the player app. Everything else — channel count, 4K, the on-demand library — is usually the same across a provider's plans.
What decides the price of an IPTV subscription?
Four things account for almost all of the difference between plans and providers:
- Plan length. One month, three, six or twelve. The longer the plan, the lower the effective monthly price.
- Simultaneous screens (connections). A one-device plan lets one screen play at a time. Two-device plans cost more because the provider has to serve twice the streams.
- What's included. Most providers include live channels, the TV guide and on-demand films in every plan. Some split sport or adult content into add-ons — read the plan page carefully.
- Support and extras. Plans that include priority support, a VPN or catch-up features may be priced higher.
The provider's own costs — servers, bandwidth for thousands of simultaneous streams, and support staff — sit behind all of this. That's why prices far below the rest of the market are a warning sign rather than a bargain (see cheap IPTV).
How much does IPTV cost per month?
The honest answer is "it depends on the plan length", so the useful number is the effective monthly price: the plan price divided by the number of months. Using our own current price list as a worked example:

Monthly vs yearly: which is better value?
A yearly plan is the cheapest per month, but only if you actually use it for the year. A good rule of thumb:
- Start with a free trial, then a one-month plan if you're unsure about the provider.
- Move to six or twelve months once you've had a month without problems.
- Avoid paying for a long plan with a provider that offers no refund window.

What does an extra screen cost?
Most providers price a second simultaneous screen at somewhat less than a second subscription. In our list, a second device adds between €14 (one month) and €59 (twelve months). If two people in the house watch at the same time, a two-device plan is cheaper than two separate one-device plans — and avoids "max connections" errors.
What hidden IPTV charges should you look for?
Read the plan page and terms for these before paying:
- Player app fees. Many Smart TV apps (IBO Player Pro, SET IPTV and others) charge a one-time licence after a trial. It's paid to the app developer, not the IPTV provider. Our Smart TV guide explains which apps do this.
- Currency conversion. If a plan is priced in euros and your card is in pounds or dollars, your bank converts it and may add a foreign-transaction fee.
- "Deals" that aren't. Crossed-out prices and countdown timers — see telling a good IPTV offer from a trap.
- Automatic renewal. Some services renew and charge again unless you cancel. Prepaid plans that simply expire are easier to control.
- Add-on packages. Sport, film or adult packages sold separately can double the headline price.
How to compare IPTV prices fairly
Two prices are only comparable when the plans are the same. Line them up like this:
- Convert every plan to an effective monthly price for the same number of screens.
- Check that the channel lineup and on-demand library are included, not add-ons.
- Compare trial length and refund window — a cheaper plan with no refund is often the more expensive risk.
- Check support: a way to reach a real person matters more than a small price difference.
Is IPTV cheaper than cable or satellite?
