To keep an IPTV setup family-friendly, use two layers: in the player, set a PIN and lock or hide adult and late-night categories; on the device, use Fire TV, Google TV or Apple TV parental controls or kids' profiles so children can't open apps you haven't approved. You can also ask your provider whether adult groups can be removed from your account.
Layer 1: controls in the player

- Settings → Parental control → set a PIN.
- Choose the groups to lock; locked groups ask for the PIN.
- Optionally hide groups entirely from playlist settings.
IPTV Smarters
- Settings → Parental control → set a PIN.
- Lock Live TV, Movies or Series categories you want protected.
Kodi
Use profiles with restricted add-ons, and hide channel groups.

Layer 3: ask the provider
Some providers can remove adult categories from an account. It's worth asking when you subscribe.
Tips
- Choose a PIN children won't guess (not 0000 or 1234).
- Hide rather than just lock groups children never need.
- Put children's channels in a favourites group — see playlist management.
- If children use a separate TV, a two-device plan avoids arguments over the one connection — see multiple devices.
