When people talk about "Xtream IPTV", they usually mean an IPTV subscription you log in to with Xtream Codes details: a server address, a username and a password. What Xtream Codes is
Xtream Codes began as server software for IPTV providers. The name now refers to the login format (the "Xtream Codes API") that player apps use to connect to a provider. With one set of details, the app downloads:
- the live channel list, organised into categories,
- the films and series library (VOD),
- the TV guide (EPG) for each channel,
- and your account status: expiry date and number of connections.
Some providers have also built a brand around the name, such as Xtreme HD Flix. Whatever the brand, the login works the same way.

Setting up an Xtream login
- Open your player app and choose Xtream Codes (sometimes called "Xtream API" or "Login with Xtream").
- Enter the server URL exactly as sent, including
http://and the port number if there is one (for example:8080). - Enter the username and password. Both are case-sensitive.
- Save, and wait for the channels, films and guide to download.
