"Max connections reached" means your account is already playing as many streams as your plan allows — usually one or two. Another device, a recording, multi-view, or a stream that didn't close properly is using the connection. Stop playback elsewhere, wait a minute or two for the session to clear, and try again.
Common causes
| Cause | What's happening |
|---|---|
| Someone else is watching | A second device is using your only connection |
| App left open on another device | The stream didn't close when the app was minimised |
| Recording in progress | A recording counts as a stream — see recording IPTV |
| Multi-view | Each tile uses a connection — see multi-view |
| Login shared outside the home | Other people are using your connections |
| Session not timed out | You just switched devices |
How to fix it now
- Stop playback on every other device and close the app fully.
- Wait one to two minutes for the server to release the session.
- Restart the app on the device you want to use.
- If it persists, message your provider — they can see active connections and reset them.
How to prevent it
- Match your plan to how many people watch at the same time — see using IPTV on multiple devices.
- Close apps rather than just pressing Home on other devices.
- Don't share the login outside your household.
- If your login may have leaked, ask your provider to reset the password, then update your login.
Similar errors
Messages such as "account expired" or "invalid credentials" have different causes — see IPTV not connecting and the Xtream Codes login guide. If two people often watch at once, a two-device plan is the lasting fix.
