For 4K streaming over HDMI, plug your stick or box into a TV port that supports 4K and HDCP 2.2, turn on the TV's enhanced HDMI setting for that port, use a Premium High Speed (or better) HDMI cable, and set the streaming device's resolution to Auto. If there's a soundbar or HDMI switch in between, it must pass 4K and HDCP 2.2 too.

Older 4K TVs often support full 4K HDR only on some HDMI ports. Look for labels such as 4K, HDR, HDCP 2.2 or UHD next to the port, or check the manual.

Troubleshooting 4K
