If an IPTV channel has no sound, first check the audio track and volume, then switch player in your app and set your device's audio output to Auto or Stereo — surround formats your soundbar can't decode are a common cause. If sound is out of sync, use the player's audio delay setting or the TV/soundbar's AV sync.
No sound: step by step
- Check mute and volume on the TV, soundbar and the app.
- Try another channel. If only one channel is silent, the source may be the problem — tell your provider.
- Check the audio track in the playback menu — some channels have several — see subtitles and audio tracks.
- Switch player in the app's settings — see IPTV Smarters settings.
- Change the device's audio output to Auto or Stereo:
- Fire TV: Settings → Display & Sounds → Audio → Surround Sound.
- Google TV: Display & Sound → Audio → Surround sound.
- Apple TV: Video and Audio → Audio Format.
- Turn off passthrough in the player unless your soundbar supports the channel's format.
- Connect directly to the TV speakers to rule out the soundbar or HDMI chain.
Out of sync: step by step
| Where | Setting |
|---|---|
| Player | Audio delay / audio offset during playback |
| TV | AV sync / audio delay |
| Soundbar or receiver | Lip sync / delay |
Avoid Bluetooth speakers for TV sound, which often add delay. If only one channel drifts, it's likely the source.
Quick diagnosis
| Symptom | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| Silent on every channel | Output setting, soundbar, or HDMI |
| Silent on surround channels only | Surround format not supported — use Auto/Stereo |
| Silent on one channel | That channel's source |
| Sound but no picture | Video codec issue — see IPTV black screen |
| Sound drifts over time | Player issue — switch player |
